How lucky are these grapes?
Long, sunny days. The perfect blend of clean water, micro nutrients and fresh mountain air. Dramatic hillside views of the Columbia River. Our Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes have the great good fortune of being raised in the Dionysus Vineyard, part of Walla Walla’s fabled Sagemoor Vineyards.

Under the watchful eye of the Sagemoor experts, our grapes enjoy the best of modern technology and old-world care. We, on the other hand, enjoy working closely with the vineyard to achieve our personal flavor profile.

In a collaboration closer to home, we recently planted our own Kingfish Vineyard on the family’s 5th generation wheat farm north of Walla Walla. Here two acres of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are joined by an acre of Mourvedre, a lovely little varietal from the south of France.

Producing from small lots and estate vineyards allows us to ensure the quality of our grapes — and make wines that maintain their balance from field to bottle. In other words, wines that are a lot like the people who love them: smooth, approachable and easy to spend time with. Lucky us.
